The 2025 Cheltenham Festival is horse racing’s biggest event of the year and it’s fast approaching.

The sport’s best horses and jockeys are preparing to take to the iconic course for a brilliant week of racing action. Galopin des Champs and Paul Towned have won two Gold Cups in a row, defending their crown last year and making history. All eyes will be on Galopin Des Champs as he aims to make it a hat-trick on the final day of the festival. Other notable horses to watch include Constitution Hill, Jonbon, and Lossiemouth.

Cheltenham Festival 2025: Dates and Start Times

This year’s Cheltenham Festival will start on Tuesday, March 11 and will run for four days, ending on Friday, March 14. Each day of action will include seven races, making a total of 28 races throughout the week. Racing will begin at around 1:20pm each day, with 40-minute intervals between races. The biggest races of each day are typically scheduled for 4pm, and the final races will take place at 5:20pm. Each day of the festival has its own theme, with Tuesday being Champion Day, Wednesday as Style Wednesday, Thursday as St. Patrick’s Thursday, and Friday as Gold Cup Day.
